The Andromeda Galaxy is heading towards us right now! But there is no need to fasten your seatbelts (Thought you always should in a car mind you!) for it just yet as it is billions of year away from happening. But essentially we wont feel the impact like you would falling off your bike but the whole milky way would feel it.

There is a chance that the gravity from such a collision throws our solar system out of the milky way to drift on its own or we could survive relatively intact depending on where we are in the galaxy when Andromeda hits. But it will like tear both galaxies apart quite spectacularly. So yes it could be very dangerous but it wont happen for a very long time and I hope that humans by then have found lots of other places to live.
