I did really well in school until I hit my A-Levels and then I had to work really hard, just like Imogen. My mum was a maths teacher and she really helped me with maths for my AS and A-Levels. Once I got to University it was a completely different learning style and I found it quite difficult to get really high grades. I passed my degree and got onto a PhD programme though, so I think if you enjoy a subject and work hard it doesn’t matter so much what grades you get.
I’ll probably say I was good above average student to start with. My grades picked up over time as I went through education to the high end probably because I started taking life more seriously and put in more of an effort
No, not always. Like the others, I had to work hard to do well. I found this much easier when I got to university because I enjoyed my degree so much 🙂 My advice is to take subjects that you are interested in and will enjoy, because you are more likely to want to work hard and do your best!
