      🙂 Nice question.

All the time. Our atmosphere is constantly being bombarded by tiny dust particles called intersteller dust particles (IDPs for short). These however don’t really make it to the ground very often as they are so small and fragile but we have big planes that collect them in a gel so we can study deep space.

In terms of rocks we tend to find between hundreds and thousands of new rocks each year. These are usually quite small but can sometimes be quite large.

Big world ending asteroid hitting the earth are predicted to be every 100million years or more as they are rarer. The last one hit around 65 Million years ago killing the dinosaurs so we have some time before the next one! 😛 We are also working out how to stop the big dangerous rocks hitting us. Maybe we can push them away or blow them up.
