Your brain is made up of lots and lots of cells, called neurons. Electrical messages are passed from cell to cell from different parts of your body to different parts of the brain. This is because different parts of the brain have different jobs. There’s a part of the brain called the hippocampus, which is very important in memory. This is where memories are made and stored. When an electrical signal is passed through neurons in the hippocampus, it makes connections, like a pathway. These pathways store memories. The pathway can be made stronger if more signals are sent down the neurons in them, and the stronger the pathway, the stronger the memory 🙂
