I’ve always enjoyed talking about what I’m learning about and what I do at work. I also enjoy finding new ways to explain things so that people who haven’t necessarily got the same A-Levels as me can understand them. I have always really enjoyed meeting children and playing with them, it comes quite naturally so combining my science and younger people seemed logical!

Good question! I did some voluntary work in a school and found that it was really fun. I loved talking to all the children and listening to their ideas about the world. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to become a teacher, which was also really fun. It’s such a great feeling when you can help a child learn something new and hopefully that skill will stay with them for the rest of their lives. After that, the opportunity came up to return to science AND work with children – my two favourite things! I couldn’t turn that opportunity down, and I feel like I have the best job ever 🙂
