Question: do you think that people should recycle more???????????

Certainly! Recycling is improving in efficiency all the time so the energy saved by recycling is going up. However our demand for energy and products is going up also, and in certain areas a lot faster than improvements to recycling. As such an approach with multiple different way to help the environment are needed. We can (and are just slowly) achieve this by – reducing packaging on products, consuming less good which links directly into wasting less stuff particularly food! 4.2 million tonnes of avoidable food and drink waste was thrown away by UK households in 2012. That’s huge!

Also with the advent of decent electric cars (although affordable ones to the general public are likely to arrive in 2017 with the Tesla motors model III) our reliance on fossil fuels needs to decrease.

So in short we do need to recycle more but we also need to more efficient with what we use so we are wasting less energy/food as well.
